My last weekend in the city is here before I go home for the summer, school is almost over and I can't wait to not have to worry about tests and deadlines for a couple months. Today I met up with Devi of Posh&Prints and we had a nice stroll through SoHo and Chinatown, (I think haha that general area). Taking photos in front of the this amazing painting of Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld was a must.
I'm pretty sure I have worn overalls almost everyday this week, they are just so easy and so much cuter than sweatpants when you're being lazy. I paired these shortalls with my Misfits band tee (courtesy of my brothers closet). Also, today was the perfect day to finally wear my jelly sandals which I bought months ago, they are so childish and fun and work perfectly with or without socks. Socks and sandals is a trend thats been happening that I can't get enough of. I've always had a love hate relationship with feet, showing from my never ending sneaker collection. So yes yes yes to socks and sandals!! You should try it too :)

Here's the second outfit shot at Coney Island. Very simple that you can wear anywhere. Its important to have simple pieces that can make a basic outfit standout. So for this classic white tee and denim shorts combo I added a gold body chain and tights. I feel like it gives it a bit of edge without going over the top which is just what you want some days.

As much as I usually only post what I see as "The Perfect Outfit," it's a little unrealistic at times. Most days I like to throw on a flannel and leggings and call it a day. Every closet needs some basic tops that you find on super sale that you can throw on for your everyday activities.
I tend to fall for the tops that I feel make me look like a mom or a five year old. This post features my favorite "mom" shirt.
It's easy to make a super simple outfit look more stylish with your shoes and accessories, so for this look I paired my favorite shoes of the season, a pair of pool slider sandals. And these funky sunglasses i picked up from Aldo, they make me feel like I should be in Willy Wonka, and I love them. :)

The other day my wonderful friend Collins was kind enough to shoot for me for some blog posts :) We went to Coney Island and it was both our first time there. Its still off season but that made it the perfect place to shoot some outfits and it was great to see the water here for the first time.
If you know me, you know I have an obsession for jumpsuits. I just can't get over how easy they make life! haha.. But really you just throw it on and its so comfy you feel like a 5 year old, but you look absolutely amazing, anybody can rock a jumpsuit. Right now I'm loving all the chunky flatform sandals for spring, I got this pair from Topshop and I'm absolutely in love with them, they will definitely be my babies for this spring and summer. And if your feeling daring add a pair of socks with your sandals because I can assure that is no longer a weird thing to do :)
