Soo basically this is a post to state that fact that I have decided to start adding some color and patterns back into my wardorbe. Over the past year of turning over my closet I've noticed I started to shy away from bright colors and crazy patterns, which left me with drawers full of basic black, white and biege tops.
This week while I was in New York my eyes fell on this brightly patterned top, a little athletic looking which I love and I fell in love with the colors. I also had a all white dress and all black jacket in my hands, so I was tempted to say "oh I don't need it" and put it back on the rack but instead.. I just bought it (even though I really shouldn't have) but now I am so happy I did and it will definitely be one of my most worn tops this coming fall. So basically my "Print Theory" is, IF YOU LIKE IT JUST BUY IT, if you regret it you can return it later, maybe not the best words to live by for a shopaholic but you will thank me later ;)

So after a year of waiting for the style blog meet up the day finally came. It felt so good to be back in NYC for the week and spending the time with some of my best friends. I loved meeting all the girls I spend my time on the internet with.
I kept my outfit simple but with some of my own flare of course, I chose my favorite crop top, paired with some incredibly wide legged pants, they are so much fun (clearly pictured haha). I Completed the look with some rings and strappy gladiator sandals.
The day consisted of shopping (where we bumped into the amazing Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat and she was kind enough to take a group photo:) and a group event at Dermologica Soho where all the girls got the chance to get facials, socialize and to meet the online beauty editor at TeenVogue, Phillip Picardi. He was so sweet and his story was inspiring, If you are reading this thanks again so much for coming.

The other day I wore a pair of my favorite overalls to a friends house. Usually I'd never wear overalls while I'm living in my hometown, to many chances of running into people from high school that I have always avoided at all costs. But I wore them anyways and my friend told me I looked like a 5 year old and I said "I don't care."
This outfit is about wearing whatever you like and feel comfortable in no matter where you are or what people say. I put two of my favorite trends together, overalls that I acid washed myself, and socks with sandals. And if I can say so myself I think I look fabulous.

I have a slight obsession with Palazzo pants, loose wide legged pants, or basically pants that look like skirts until you realize they are pants. I'm not sure why but when I grab a pair in a store I always think I'm picking up a skirt and as soon as I realize they are pants I just fall in love and immediately have to buy them. I think its the fact that its such a slight difference from a maxi skirt and you're not expecting it, so it automatically makes them unique and adorable. And gives you instant "outfit cred." They go perfect with a crop top or really any kinda of top. I paired these ones with an off the shoulder top some simple gold jewelry and my favorite red lip pencil, MAC cosmetics "Cranberry" from the Sharon Osbourne collection.
