Sweater American Apparel | Skirt Topshop | Boots Topshop | Clutch Zara

Its getting colder and colder everyday and you are gonna see a lot more "Sweater Weather" instagram captions.
I really love the look of a baggy sweater over something fitted. Its a lot more cozy and casual than the tradition shirt tucked into the tight mini skirt look. And it is perfect for this weather.

Unfortunately the only title fitting for this post is "Sweater Weather"....

Denim has always been a necessity in American fashion and now also in everyones closet. Denim is probably one of my favorite things to wear (clearly it is in my Blog Title). Distressed denim has probably been a thing for as long as I can remember. Starting middle school and my parents could never understand why all the girls jeans had rips in them. I am just attracted to the look personally I don't think I could explain why, its casual and relaxing, just looks comfortable and it is comfortable.
These UNIF "Twerk Jeans" are currently my favorite pair of jeans, if you follow me on instagram you have already seen them plastered all over. Bloggers and celebs have been seen wearing them too, like Hailey Baldwin. I think heres a good way and a bad way to do distressed denim and these jeans are by far the best. They aren't symmetrical and I think they are ripped just enough with a fun rip just under the bum in the back and they are super loose and boyfriend fitting.

Distressed Denim: UNIF

Back in the same week with another post!! unusual for me, right? well now that I'm all settled back in at school and in the city I have a pretty set schedule so look forward to more posts!

Today's post is a bit different, I have 2 looks for you using one of my favorite pieces in my closet at the moment, its a striped T shirt dress from Brandy Melville. It is so soft and so versatile, and I will usually end up wearing it way more than once in the same week (don't judge haha)
First look is super simple I just accessorized with a bunch of mismatched rings, I always use a chunky statement ring with a bunch of simple ones. Mine is my Dads class ring but you can find lots of cool rings that are old and chunky at thrift stores. And I wore my favorite pair of converse because well... I love converse with everything.
Second look you can wear out but still anywhere else because its not too much, I added a leather jacket and a pair of heeled booties.

The T-Shirt Dress: Everyday and Edgy

Tank and Leggings Adidas | Shoes Converse | Jacket Vintage

Being that it is now officially Fall but the weather is still getting to be 80 degrees I think that this obnoxious floral set (from my favv Adidas Originals) is still very appropriate and I couldn't pass up the opportunity of this weather to share it with you. Yes people gave me looks but I love this set oh so much. Matching pieces are definitely one of my favorite things this past summer and I see them carrying onto fall and winter so I'm sure I will pick one up more appropriate for wintertime.
And a big shout out to Jillian for taking some amazing pics for me the other day !!!!

Between Seasons (ft. Obnoxious Pattern)

Dress ASOS | Shoes Converse | Sunglasses Urban Outfitters | Ring Good After Nine

My favorite time of the season has come, Fashion Week. For running around taking photos at Lincoln Center and various other locations I decided to keep it simple with a dress (that is actually a top but who cares?). I'm loving the all white trend, I think it is my favorite thing this year, and now I have my all white leather converse to really kick it off.
The past couple days have been killer, and everyone around me looked fabulous, I got to take photos of some of my favorite people in the industry. More will be posted soon so look forward to that! and now that my exhausting weekend is over, it's time to catch up on all the new collections.

Sidenote: Sunglasses
Being in NYC I have learned that sunglasses are key to every outfit, EVERYONE wears sunglasses, whether its because of the bright sun, or so you don't see you staring, or even to block the debris from flying into your eyes, I don't really know. But I have come to accept that it's a lot less awkward walking the streets with all these people around you when you have sunglasses on. I have always HATED sunglasses, I would rather suffer squinting from the sun than wear a pair but now that I feel I need then soo I've gone to urban outfitters to pick up a few inexpensive pairs, and these ones featured are by far my favorite.

What I Wore - NYFW

NYFW street style

Top, Skirt, Shoes TOPSHOP | Bag Forever 21 | Ring DJ by Dominic Jones

Soo basically this is a post to state that fact that I have decided to start adding some color and patterns back into my wardorbe. Over the past year of turning over my closet I've noticed I started to shy away from bright colors and crazy patterns, which left me with drawers full of basic black, white and biege tops.
This week while I was in New York my eyes fell on this brightly patterned top, a little athletic looking which I love and I fell in love with the colors. I also had a all white dress and all black jacket in my hands, so I was tempted to say "oh I don't need it" and put it back on the rack but instead.. I just bought it (even though I really shouldn't have) but now I am so happy I did and it will definitely be one of my most worn tops this coming fall. So basically my "Print Theory" is, IF YOU LIKE IT JUST BUY IT, if you regret it you can return it later, maybe not the best words to live by for a shopaholic but you will thank me later ;)
