Tank & Flannel Thrifted - Cardi H&M - Leggings Express - Sneakers H&M

Sometimes I just don't feel like getting dressed in the morning. Leggings are definetly the way to go, I perfer a leather look legging like pictured here, or velvet leggings, something fun and different. Layering in the winter is key and you can never own too many cardigans. I just recently picked up this midi length open knit cardigan at H&M in NYC and I am in love with it, it looks great and makes you feel like you have a blanket with you everywhere you go.

Styling for those Lazy days

Jacket Urban Outfitters - Sweater Topshop - Purse Forever 21 - Jeans American Apparel -
Boots Topshop - Ring DJ by Dominic Jones

I'm in love with how todays pictures turned out, I lost my connector for my tripod so my cousin shot the pictures for me and I think they turned out incredibly (especially for being at night).
Not too much behind this outift, it is rather simple. During this holiday season there are a lot of family dinners and little parties but you dont always want to dress up for all of them. I wore this outfit to a small dinner with my grandpa. A cozy sweater and some high waisted jeans are always the perfect match, and add a leatherjacket to give it some edge! (as I was going through the pieces I realized that every single item i got on sale *high fives myself*)

Holiday Nights

DAY 1

Over this past weekend I went to New York City and it was absolutely incredible. Visiting the city knowing that I will be living there in a month just gave me a feeling I cant explain. Also, while I was there I met some fellow style bloggers aka some of my best friends, and all in all it was just a great time.
The first day I was there I wandered Manhattan by myself a bit and did tourist-y things to do like go to times square, see the giant Christmas tree at Rockefeller center and take a lot of pictures! I was surprised that my Topshop chelsea boots were able to keep up with all the walking a did, definitely one of my best purchases ever.
Unfortunately, Ari and Kaitlyn's (thebrilliantflaw and thelayeredlineup) bus was late into the city but eventually we all met up in Soho along with Katrina (manhattaninspired) and Devi (posh&prints). We went into some shops and went out to dinner and it was a great night and incredible to finally meet them all and to see Devi again.  I can't wait until next time and then I'll get the chance to take their outfit pictures :D which I am very much looking forward too.

DAY 2

The next day I went back into the city and Devi and I spent the day in Soho shopping. I bought a few items that I can't wait to share with you in future posts. We went to Topshop, Zara, H&M, and the American Apparel outlet store which I can't wait til it is at my finger tips when I live in NYC. I bought a pair of Easy Jeans for $35!! I am very proud of that deal.

Later that evening Devi and I went out for bubble tea and can't go to New York without getting $1 pizza, had some laughs and also for some odd reason there were an unusual amount of Santa Claus's everywhere.
A great and successful trip to New York and I can't wait to go back!

Here is a sneak peek of the outfit I wore, a post will be up of that soon!!

New York City

Lips MAC Fast Play  |  TheLipBar Gin-ger & Tonic

This past month I have kept it simple with lip colors and these two are by far my favorite. I got the TheLipBar's Gin-ger and Tonic lippy while at IMATS in Toronto and it is the perfect nude color for my olive skin tone and the most moisturizing lipsticks I have ever used. I can't get enough of it.
I have also fallen under the spell of MAC lipsticks, I don't think I have ever heard a poor review of any color. Fast Play is a nice neutral pink with just enough color for any occasion. Both of these lippies are perfect for everyday use.

Hair Not Your Mothers Sea Salt Spray  |  Batiste Dry Shampoo

Honestly I have never been that interested in hair products until this month. Since I have been coloring the ends of my hair regularly I have gotten more interesting in styling and hair care. Batiste Dry Shampoo is definitely a gift from the gods. It is great when you are running late or couldn't wash your hair the night before, and I have learned that washing your hair everyday isn't very good for your hair so this is the perfect solution. Batiste sells their dry shampoo in many different scents and this cherry one I have been using smells AMAZING. Dry Shampoo also gives your hair the perfect amount of texture at the roots.  Sea Salt Spray is another product I have been using regularly and I love the beach waves it gives my hair. This Not Your Mothers brand is probably the most inexpensive one I have seen and it works great when your hair is almost dry/barely damp.

Eyes Le Volume De Chanel Mascara

I havent tried much new with my eye make up this month but I have fallen in love with this Chanel Mascara. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth every penny. It gives your lashes the perfect length and volume and it is nice and wet and not thick or chunky at all like some drugstore products. This mascara is perfect for regular use or it is also perfect if you wanted to try something new like grungy clumpy lashes which I am in love with at the moment.

Cheeks NARS Blush in Orgasm

I always had a hard time finding a blush that either showed up on my skin or lasted through out the day and this NARS blush is amazing. It is highly pigmented, so it is perfect for layering, and it has just the right amount of shimmer for summer and winter. It definitely looks good on all skin tones. I use it everyday and will be keeping this in my make up bag for a long time to come.

Perfume Our Moment by One Direction

One Direction is my obsession, so it was no surprise when I said I needed their new perfume. I am not much of a perfume girl, scents can irritate me easily and cause me headaches, but I have to say that that is not the case with this one. It has the perfect balance of sweet, fruity, and flowery and I am in love with it. I no longer forget to spritz myself with perfume before I leave the house (and I am not just saying all this because I love One Direction)

November Beauty Favorites!

Sweater H&M  |  Jeans Urban Outfitters  |  Boots Charlotte Russe  |  Jacket Vintage  |
Scrunchie American Apparel  |  Purse Nine West

In honor of starting up my new Tumblr for this blog (thatdenimpurse.tumblr.com) I decided make my outfit today fully denim inspired. Denim was definitely a big trend this past summer and a trend that I have loved for a long time (hence my blog title) Some people may think denim is dead but I plan on wearing it well into winter.
So today I decided to pair my denim jacket with a turtle neck to stay warm and a pair of jeans a bit darker than the jacket. and a scrunch inspired by Lou Teasdale.
